Title Design

Image
Fonts : We will use a total of 3 fonts, Condensed Bold, Fact Black Itallic, and Semi Bold. We chose these 3 fonts due to our genre, they fit in perfectly to the type of look we want, maximizing the feel of the titles, contributing to our thriller/suspense genre. However, different fonts will be used for specific titles.    ‘Color: The colors will vary depending on the titles, and the background of certain scenes. We decided to primarily go with 3 different colors. Such colors being red, black, and white. For the 2 base colors being black and white for certain titles, it all depends on the possible background colors of scenes. Black and white are the easiest colors to make titles visible when backgrounds are a mix of different colors and shades. These 2 base colors will efficiently be used to make the titles visible and legible for the audience. As for red, we chose this to be the main color of our work title. We chose red because it perfectly resembles the color one could imag...

Genre Blog

We have chosen a suspense thriller short film as a good choice for this group due to its ability to keep the audience interested throughout the entire film. Suspense allows us to focus on developing our story, building tension and creating an atmosphere, with less emphasis on special effects. It is a genre that will allow every member of our team to contribute based upon their skill set. The suspenseful genre creates an environment where we can utilize creativity through lighting, music and pacing to create emotional and anticipatory moments within our film. We believe that a suspense film will make a lasting impression on the viewer and therefore we are confident that this type of film will help our project become memorable. After reviewal of my AS level media studies work, this genre made even more sense due to my groups strengths in suspense. In conclusion, we feel that suspense is an excellent challenge for us that we can accomplish and will have an impact.

Our Pitch

Image
Pitch 1: Students find a hidden file predicting future events; as predictions come true, fear grows, questioning free will versus manipulation, ending in a disturbing, unresolved conclusion.  Pitch 2: Friends hang out texting when unknown messages reveal secrets, describe real time actions, spark paranoia, and expose the sender as someone present, creating fear in the group.  The group decided to go with pitch 2 due to the depth and complexity we could bring.

Group Blog

I have new group members for  A level  now! My mates for this project will be Nico M, Sebastian C, and Evan B. The people I choose for this project will be crucial for the way it can  possibly turn  out. Due to this, these are the reasons why I have individually chosen these 3 people. First off, I chose to work with a group since we have the chance to connect ideas. If one person has an idea, and the other has something to add to it, the outcome of the finalized idea has the potential to be even better than the original. Now, the reasons why I picked the following people. I have known and worked with  Nico   together since middle school . We have great chemistry when we work together, and in the  times  we have worked together, we have always surpassed expectations .  I chose  Sebastian  because he is a good friend of mine who I know is extremely creative and  innovative, and  knows how to bring great ideas to the gro...
