Editing Yet?

Image
After the mishaps of last time out filming we decided to go again. We all decided to hangout right  afterschool but not get straight to filming. We realized that we needed to film at night for the other scenes we had planned out. So in the meantime, we just kept editing the parts we had and see where we were going to integrate certain scenes. As well, we did end up going to my place to hangout and pickup some props like my sword, and then we went to the gym. After all that we all went back to the house where we were filming the remaining scenes. We said to ourselves we are going to be efficient to finish quick because we were on a pretty short time schedule. To be fair, this part of filming went amazing to our surprise. We got some of the best scenes that were used in the entire film. We were overly impressed and finally satisfied. However, remembering what happened last time, we were tentative and waited to celebrate because we were unsure if it would all add up to 5 minutes. Once...

Bump on the Road... A Major One

Image
Originally, we had planned to edit the day after we finished filming. So basically that did not happen by any means. When we heard the news at first, we were genuinely just shocked. We really thought there was no way this happened when we heard the news. Our groupmate who had all the clips on his phone, transferred them onto his computer in order to edit. He put all the clips together to start, and during that he texted the group chat immediately. He said there was a major major issue. Such issue being that all the clips did not reach the 5 minute requirement. We though okay, maybe we were close to it so we could just add clips. But no, that was nowhere near the case. I asked how much we had in total, he said 2 minutes and 37 seconds. I was beyond shocked, we split up filming into 2 days because we had to and even then it was not enough scenes somehow. It felt like we filmed forever, and that it was for sure going to reach the 5 minute requirement. We were absolutely wrong and we reall...

Another Day of Filming

Image
For our second day of filming, I would like to say it went good. However good to a certain extent. We definitely got more filming done than the first day. Were we really satisfied though? That is the question that circles in my brain. Some clips were honestly very good and others were honestly not the best so a lot of scraps. However we genuinely took hours filming as a lot of "bloopers" were made in the process and a bit of messing around was going on here and there. But in reality, the good scenes we did get to film were really good and beyond impressive from what we originally thought. We had to drive to various locations however which was pretty time consuming. On the bright side, travelling to the different locations, the bloopers, and the filming itself was one of the most fun we have had in general. We laughed a lot, argued a lot, and accomplished a lot, it was a true experience. We technically filmed from day to night as we had to 12:00 am. A downside we did face tho...

Start of Filming…A Failure?

Image
Our first day of filming honestly went unexpected. With filming being so unexpected we had to figure out other days to film for various reasons. First off Sebastian had an important birthday party to attend to later in the day. This obstructed with the night scenes we wanted to do as soon as night hit. That was our first obstacle we encountered from the first filming day. As well, Nico and I had something to do early in the day which messed up the early schedule filming window we had. This overall resulted in us having around 2 hours to film only a couple of day scenes which was not ideal. Nonetheless we took advantage of the limited time we had. To say the least we completed more than we thought with such limited time so we were pretty proud. We got over half of the day scenes done with which was honestly good. After this we decided to text the group chat for further plans. However planning an extra day of filming itself was going to be a difficult task itself. As I have soccer,...
