Finishing Editing

With the first day of editing going successful, we met up the following day. We quickly decided that this day has to be quick but efficient as we had a short time schedule. The goal was to very obviously conclude editing today so we can finalize our film portion of this task. In doing so, we quickly got to work. Since the sound and clip-condensing was done the day prior, we moved along with the opening sequence. Now just doing the opening sequence did take up most of our time. We had to come up with multiple ideas towards where we are going to integrate each title. This did spark multiple debates as we all had different ideas. As well, it did take a bit to come up with agreements. However in the process of editing we encountered a slight obstacle. We were missing an establishing shot... Thankfully it was only an establishing shot which is honestly the quickest fix ever. Just a simple 2 second shot of outside the house most of filming was once night hit. This was vital for the titles as well as it is a perfect place to use a title. We decided our opening sequence with the titles to range from a minute, to a minute and 30 seconds. We thought that was a good amount of time to place all the titles, and to keep the film moving along continuously and logically. The opening sequence did end up coming out successful, and so we moved along. We decided to then play around with the editing of the actual clips such as brightness, exposure, and so on. This was done because nearly every clips has different lighting due to the angles, or times it was shot. As well, it needed to be done so it can all balance out and look good overall regardless of the different lightings of all the scenes. Once done, we called this an end to our final day of editing. All the pieces are coming together and we are beyond excited for the final outcome. As always, stay safe and stay tuned my fellow bloggers!
