Peer Review: Production Blog Final Task

Once our film was finalized, we sent it to peers of our choice. I usually sit with the A-level Media Studies students in my class. I sent it to them since they already did this project. The people I sent it to were Charlize, Rose, and Alyssa. Throughout the year itself, they have taught me multiple tips and tricks to improve as the year went on. When I sent them the film they were pretty impressed. This portion was done during class, and they gave me feedback right then and there. First, they started off with making the font size of the titles bigger in some parts. Charlize's feedback had to do with the sound. She said to fade the sound into music in order for it to transition cleaner. Since I was not really sure of how to correctly do this, she offered to help me out. She showed me the process of how to achieve this. Rose's feedback was to change the lighting a bit. At times it was a bit too dark for her liking, and she suggested why we should raise the exposure a bit. She also mentioned how if the exposure was lower, the words/titles would be harder to see as well. Alyssa's feedback had to do with the sounds as well. She noted how our voices were a bit too low at times. Since some of the dialogue was voice overs, she said how it would be better if we raised the volume a bit higher. All this constructive criticism was good and I was glad I chose them to review. Now since we know the issues, we will take action on it, and listen to their advice.
