Planning Blog for Prime Commercial

 Props: 

Due to my group choosing to do a Prime commercial, the main prop will be a Prime drink. Other props that will be used is a soccer ball and a soccer goal.  

Costumes:  

In our commercial, all 4 of our group members will be in the commercial. Dylan will wear athletic clothing with the colors being navy blue and black. Tripp and Jack will wear athletic clothing with the colors being white and black. Soccer cleats will be used in the video while on the field. 

Schedule: 

On 9/12/2024, as a group we meet and discuss the commercial and dates for when it will be filmed. As well as necessary props and backup plans will be discussed on this day. 

On 9/18/2024, the storyboard for the 30-second commercial will be made and finished as a group. 

On 10/01/2024, the commercial will be shot, and editing will happen on the same day. Therefore, finishing the project in one day. 

 

Location:  

One of the two main locations will be the soccer field. This is where all 4 group members will be featured in the commercial, all playing a crucial role. At this location, it will benefit the power that Prime has over Gatorade, and how it is better than its rivals. Both a penalty kick and a shot will be taken at the soccer field.  

The second location for the commercial will be Dylan’s house in his bedroom. At this location, Dylan will be the only group member featured. He will be having a nightmare about a missed kick in a previous game, then waking up and drinking Gatorade. 

Backup Plan: 

If there is a missing group member for a commercial, we have a backup actor that will fill in our missing group member’s role in the commercial. If it is raining outside, it will not stop the commercial from being made at the same location regardless. If Dylan’s house is not available for shooting the dream and waking up scene, then either Jack, Donavan, or Tripp's house will also be available as a backup.

  SCHEDULE    2/8/25- 2/11/25:  Filming will begin on these days. These days will be the ones where we get the acting in check and ensure our actors have all of their lines memorized and deliver them correctly. All scenes will be filmed on these days. If all not completed, the next day will have time set aside to film remaining scenes.    2/15/25:   Recording of voiceovers made and other audios will be found. The sound for the FT will be found and imported onto the computer, ensuring it is there for the editing process. Minor editing will also take place, but not major; this means playing around with the color correction of the scenes but nothing serious.    2/18/25-2/19/25:  Editing will commence and the video will be put together. What titles are displayed during the opening sequence?   The production company (BH Productions/Goalpost), the production company they associated with (Nervous Tick), the title of the movie (The Invisible Man), and the production credits (Universal Pictures Presents).   What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?   In the opening sequence, the images prioritized are the ocean and waves crashing against rocks, which are put at low exposure. There are also images inside the house, both on the ceiling and the corner of the wall.   How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset?   When they show the universal globe in the first image of the film, the music/sound used is very dark and mysterious, already creating tension, and creating that thriller-feeling genre. The use of the waves crashing by the rocks while being set in low exposure adds further mystery and tension, as the genre "thriller" presents.
