Planning Blog for Music Video

 Props: 

One big aspect of recreating our God’s Plan video is that we will be giving away money to people who are less fortunate. So, to accomplish this, Jack, Tripp, Donavan and I will each bring $10 for when we film our music video together. This money will be given away to people less fortunate and will help recreate the original. Each member of our group will bring 1 five-dollar bill and 5 one-dollar bills to be given away. 

Costumes: 

Each member of the group will be wearing the clothes of their choice on the day of filming. I will be wearing a pair of black shorts, a black shirt, and grey sneakers. Tripp, Jack, Donavan and I will all be wearing sunglasses on the day of filming so that we can be recognized as being together. They will all be wearing casual clothes on the day of filming, we will not be wearing formal clothes. 

Schedule: 

On 11/12/2024, as a group we will be together as a group, and we will make our storyboard for our 1 minute to 1 minute and 15 second music video. This will be when we figure out how our video will flow, which angles we will use in our music video and how we would like it to look when finished.  

On 11/24/2024, as a group we will film our music video together as a group. We have multiple filming locations that our music video will take place at. First, we will be filming at Jack’s house. This will be when we shoot the scene of him standing on the roof like how Drake did in the original God’s plan music video. Next, we will be filming at our local beach. It is a very pretty location there and there are very many people in need who will be thankful when we give them money. 

Location: 

The locations that we will be filming will include one of our group mate's houses and our local beach. We will be filming a shot of one of our groupmates standing on the roof of his house and that will be the only filming that we do at Jack’s house. Also, we will be filming at the beach because it is very nice there and there is a shot in the original God’s Plan music video where money is given to someone at the beach. 

Back-up Plan: 

We have multiple plans set-up in case we must change our filming date our location that we film at. First, we have scheduled 11/30/2024 as our back-up to film if we are not able to film on 11/24. Also, we have two back-up filming locations. The first location is Tripp’s house to film the roof scene. The second location is Downtown Ft. Lauderdale, Fl because it also looks very nice there and there are plenty of less fortunate people who would be grateful to receive money.

  SCHEDULE    2/8/25- 2/11/25:  Filming will begin on these days. These days will be the ones where we get the acting in check and ensure our actors have all of their lines memorized and deliver them correctly. All scenes will be filmed on these days. If all not completed, the next day will have time set aside to film remaining scenes.    2/15/25:   Recording of voiceovers made and other audios will be found. The sound for the FT will be found and imported onto the computer, ensuring it is there for the editing process. Minor editing will also take place, but not major; this means playing around with the color correction of the scenes but nothing serious.    2/18/25-2/19/25:  Editing will commence and the video will be put together. What titles are displayed during the opening sequence?   The production company (BH Productions/Goalpost), the production company they associated with (Nervous Tick), the title of the movie (The Invisible Man), and the production credits (Universal Pictures Presents).   What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?   In the opening sequence, the images prioritized are the ocean and waves crashing against rocks, which are put at low exposure. There are also images inside the house, both on the ceiling and the corner of the wall.   How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset?   When they show the universal globe in the first image of the film, the music/sound used is very dark and mysterious, already creating tension, and creating that thriller-feeling genre.
