 What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? 

The titles shown include, the cj entertainment series, the actors, the production company, director of photography, production designer, costume designer, casting/associate casting, editor, original music, line producer, executive producers, created by, written by, directed by, and shows the title of the movie towards the end of the sequence. 

What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? 

The images begin with a room that seems to be a basement that has a window overlooking the outside. It also has a rack of drying socks hanging from the ceiling which is used to show the camera slowly pan downwards into the main actor who is sitting the couch on his phone. He then gets up after receiving a text message and begins to communicate which people who seem to be his roommates.  

How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset? 

The opening sequence shows normal daily perspective reality, which showcases a pan in a sort of basement that shows a normal tone. This is all overcast by eerie music that creates a sense of thrill and suspense. It also shows various parts of the movie where something dire is happening such as a scene flashing a gun. To top it all off, the end of the sequence turns dark as it displays the title in dark red letters.

The images prioritized consists of being in the house and kitchen, a man walking in a semi-lighted chamber-look-a-like where a few girls are seemed to be tied up and outside at night in the city. How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset? The dark aesthetic of the house and kitchen add a lot of suspense. In the kitchen and the living room the lights shut off and it is pitch black. The use of little to no lighting throughout builds suspense and creates tension, which is what the genre thriller offers.
