Editing Day Continued: Final Task
Our second and final day of editing came around. It was the most successful day of this project. We did have a lot of work to do, however. Since on the first day, we only did the first part of the editing, we had the other half to complete. This other half included the longer, more complicated clips. I say complicated since there is a lot of movement, the lighting is different, and they are all different locations. So, we had to adjust every single clip, for it to flow with the aesthetic. Most of this was experimenting with the settings on the clips. This took us about 45 minutes to complete, leaving us with more time for the other parts. These parts are the sound audio. Some clips did require sound, and others did not. Due to this, we needed some clips to be louder than others or be toned down as these clips transitioned with each other. This did take longer than expected since we needed to also keep in mind that we were adding music to some clips eventually. This was the longest section throughout this day of editing. After this was completed, we moved on to finalizing the filters, exposure, and adjustments for the rest of the film. This section was the most fun section to do. Since we could mess around with the settings, it allowed us a variety of filters to see which one looked best. It was very satisfying as well once we found the perfect filter which made the film look so good. Once this was completed, we ended the day by adding all the remaining titles, and their fonts. This was a quick section since we already had a general idea of how the titles would look and where they would go. Finally, our film was completed with the editing part and that concluded our day. Overall, our favorite day, and we were so proud of the ending product. It is all coming together and we are nearly done with our journey!
